The company has about 280 hectares of land,
almost half of which is covered by woods (cerris, ash, chestnut,
but mainly oak and varieties of pine) which are tended and kept
in accordance with our program of reforestation.
In the humid valleys poplar is cultivated, while
the hillsides are given over to grape production. The fertile
plains are used for the staple crops of Central Italy; durum
wheat, sunflowers, fava beans,
as well as barley and wheat.
The company has also introduced more labor-intensive crops such
as parsley, arugola,
marrow, spinach, etc.
For a number of years the company has been committed to operating
on a system of low environmental impact, in accordance
with measure 6.2 of the Regional Development Plan of the Tuscany
Region.
