CONTE ALDOBRANDO DEGLI AZZONI AVOGADRO:
HISTORY OF A TRADITION

Many generations with only one love: the earth.

A unique passion: wine.

A strong link coming from the past.  It has its roots in an agricultural tradition of seven centuries and today  it is more strong than ever.  At the heart of all the decisions there is the absolute respect for nature. A clear path is defined along the way to sustainability. The quality of wine can come only from the protection of the land, the respect of the vine and its fruit.

The 2017 harvest

grappolo.jpg

The harvest 2017 will be remembered as unique. It has been very difficult and in the same time it was very stimulating. During the year the weather has been very strange. In the Spring time we had very cold nights. The Summer was very dry and the heat was very high.  At the end the harvest has been lower in quantity and higher in quality. The dryness in the grapes has given higher intensity to the aromatic varieties as Vermentino.

The perfect integrity of the red barriers, especially the one of the Sangiovese, had allowed a long and slow fermentation to extract all the organoleptic qualities for our Chianti.
